A Magician Never Reveals His Secret...

Magic Text using Photoshop CS5

So stumbling across YouTube I find this neon looking text with a mystical type background. After what I thought to be my computer screaming "CLICK HERE! CLICK HERE!", I decided to embark on what soon to be an epic adventure in the art of Magic Text. This outspoken link brought me to a tutorial. Now this tutorial opened the gateway of what will soon be the base and foundation of my Photoshop career and furthermore, this blog. The tutorial I found was made in Photoshop CS3 and luckily it worked in Photoshop CS4 which, at the time, was the current version of Photoshop. After learning this tutorial to the very brush stroke I began making these text effects out of personal amusement. Later I received a request from a friend to use his name in this effect and all of a sudden i'm popping out Magic Text like babies after WWII (the baby boom for those who are historically challenged...). The album posted below are some of my better work using Photoshop CS4:

So posted below, in Photoshop CS5*, is a speed painting of magic text. As I went through it with CS5 I met a lot of turbulence in my creations and had to edit the routine slightly. Using black and white where colors once were and Overlay instead of Color. Luckily for you I will be proving my own title wrong and creating a tutorial on the differences in Photoshop CS3 Magic Text vs Photoshop CS5 Magic Text. Also, as always, I added a few things of my own just to give some extra spice to my work.

*I do plan on reviewing Photoshop CS5 and explaining the newest features and major differences granted the public demands so. Please comment your feedback on the photos, videos, and idea for a review.

Every Great Story Has A Beginning...

Disclaimer: Those who have not seen Get Him To The Greek please don't judge the brief profanity and ignore the spoilers.
In light of the media editing theme, it would be wise for me to include some video editing projects. One particular field I want to begin accelerating in is the art of intros. You never see any type of good presentation or performance without an equally extravagant introduction. It sets the tone for the rest of the event, catching your audience from the get go putting them into your grasps, honing their feeble minds with 10 seconds of "This is my company, I made this, Enjoy". P. Diddy from Get Him To The Greek may say, this is a great way to mind f@#% your audience. I agree with you P. Diddy and will follow your ways in the ancient art of mind f#@!ing.
As to begin, The software I use to create my videos and such is none other than Sony Vegas Video 9 pro. Adobe After Effects proved to be a lot more confusing and complicated than I anticipated forcing me to learn the software on my free time. Vegas Video how ever is rather simplistic while giving me seemingly professional grade material at an elementary learning level. I just condescended my own intelligence huh? Add that to someone's fail blog... Moving along from my ADD moment into the primary basis of this entry.
In an effort to capture my audience, also know as "mind f@#!ing", I have experimented in the area of introductions. I have played around with lighting effects. lightNing effects, epic music, sound bites, tutorials and my own creative undertaking. Displayed are some of my favorite results, also check out the Hartford Cribs introduction just previously posted.

I just enjoyed making this because a few of my close friends like to call me Superman. Unfortunately it isn't due to my extraordinary superr strength or ability to fly, but simple because of a certain shirt and hat...

On a more serious note I needed something to represent the blog and that I mean buisness. So I pulled a sound clip from here and decided to create this:
